There’s a whole lot of different ‘spins’ in the casino business – from your ordinary free spins to those Wager-Free Spins, Super Spins and even Mega Spins. What the Prof hadn’t heard before, however, was Power Spins! Well, it just so happens that this isn’t a new take on one of the above, as they’re actually an online casino instead. Read our full Power Spins review to see if they’re any good.
Power Spins, sometimes stylised as Powerspins) opened up as a new casino in 2017 by BGO Entertainment Limited, the company behind, well, BGO – a well-known and highly-esteemed online casino brand. They’ve got a particularly popular policy on wagering requirements – in short, they don’t have any! – but that still hasn’t seen them land a 5-star rating. Let’s explain why.
Power Spins review at a glance:
- No Wagering welcome bonus – but deposit/withdrawal fees
- Fast PayPal payments
- Unimaginative offers & VIP scheme
- 650+ slots & games – with huge pooled jackpots
- No live casino
Power Spins Casino Bonus
If you’ve ever played at BGO then you’ll be very familiar with the Powerspins website and casino bonus.
Unfortunately, there isn’t a Power Spins no deposit bonus at this time. However, you can land up to 50 free spins if you make a first deposit – and they’re wager-free!
- Deposit £1 = 1 Free Spin
- Minimum 10 Free Spins up to a maximum of 50 Free Spins (worth 10p each)
- Keep what you win!
Bonus Terms and Conditions
Despite having no wagering requirements, you still should read through our Power Spins review of bonus terms and conditions:
- 18+. New customers only. Available to UK customers only.
- 1 Free Spin for every £1 of first deposit up to 50 Free Spins
- £10 min deposit + 2.5% fee (min 50p). 3-day expiry on Free Spins
- Cash balance withdrawable at any time, £2.50 fee.
- Free spins available on selected slots
- Full T&Cs apply.
So, there’s the rather strange policy of charging a 2.5% fee on any deposit lower than £500, while making a withdrawal will see you incur a £2.50 fee. Also, the free spins must be used up entirely within 3 days.
While the fees don’t look great on the face of it, the reasoning behind them is because of the no wagering policy. Powerspins feel that this gives you an extra advantage over any other online casino which employs wagering (which is true), so the fees are a way of recouping some expenses.
Overall, the Professor thinks this is fair – as the extra expenses are worth not having to jump through what seems like endless hoops. No wagering obligations also make the 3-day expiry easily doable.
Power Spins 50 Free Spins
So, you’re getting one wager-free spin for every pound you deposit (subject to the limits mentioned above), but what slot machines can you use them on?
At the time of this Power Spins review, you can use these free spins on Starburst, Aloha Cluster Pays, Pyramid: Quest for Immortality or Joker Pro. However, be sure to check that this is still the case on their site.
You choose which of these games suits you the best.
Power Spins Bonus Code
N/A – No Power Spins bonus code is needed to activate the above offer.
Simply make a qualifying deposit and up to 50 free spins will be credited to your account.
Power Spins Offers
Once you’ve spun your first deposit away, you can collect another Powerspins offer simply by heading to the Promotions page.
It’s difficult to narrow down exactly what’s on offer – as they like to chop and change, with seasonal bonuses too. As an example, when the Professor was conducting his Power Spins review analysis, there were Jackpot King and Mini, Maxi and Mega Jackpot deals.
In all honesty, there wasn’t too much choice.
You may also be interested to learn of the Power Store.
It basically acts as the Powerspins loyalty scheme, and works in a very similar manner to other casino VIP programs:
- Collect 1 point (called a Diamond) for every £10 wagered on slots (different amounts for table games)
- Exchange Diamonds for offers in the Power Store
You are currently able to acquire additional Free Spins or actual Real Money, although special Tournaments and Golden Chips are in the pipeline.
Similarly to the standard offers, the Power Store isn’t going to turn many heads. Instead, it’s the classic safe and easy VIP program that only a few players will really be interested in.
As with any good online casino, there are many methods you can use to make a deposit.
The ever-presents such as Visa, MasterCard, Paysafecard, Skrill and Neteller can be found, alongside Maestro and a couple of other localised options (depending on your location). The minimum deposit is £10.
One big perk (for UK players and a few others) is that this is a casino with PayPal deposit.
NOTE: Remember that all deposits lower than £500 will incur a 2.5% fee (50p minimum) of the deposit amount.
Power Spins Withdrawal Times
You can expect to receive your Power Spins withdrawals shortly after 24 hours for eWallets and between 4-6 working days for card withdrawals and bank transfers.
Why these times? Because each Powerspins withdrawal request you make takes 24 hours to be processed. Once this is done, the following average withdrawal times apply:
- PayPal: Instant
- Skrill: Instant
- Neteller: Instant
- Card: 3-5 working days
- Bank Transfer: 3-5 working days
There is no withdrawal limit, as you can take out your deposit balance at any time.
NOTE: Remember that all withdrawals will incur a £2.50 fee.
Power Spins Slot Machines & Games
With over 650 slot machines and other casino games, there’s plenty on show to keep you entertained.
You’ll find games from the likes of NetEnt, Playtech, IGT, Quickspin, Barcrest and a few others – spanning from video slots through to table and classic casino games.
What’s really impressive is the 100+ jackpots that Powerspins offer. This caters for all kinds of jackpot fans – from those looking to scoop a couple of grand to the dreamers aiming for a life-changing win.
Live Casino – N/A
However, rather incredibly these days, there is no live casino for our Power Spins review.
Despite big brother BGO having live tables, it seems as though this brand is happy to keep streaming out of things.
This might not be the biggest problem for some, but it does mean that live fans will need to find an alternative live casino.
The Power Spins mobile casino grants you access on your smartphone or tablet. It’s very easy to navigate, with useful sidebars and shortcuts hiding the usual desktop signposts.
In terms of entertainment, there are around 600 Powerspins mobile games that you can play – again, ranging from slots to table and classic. This is due to a few older titles being developed in Flash, which isn’t supported on mobile.
However, the same Powerspins casino bonus, offers, payment methods and features are available.
NOTE: There is no Power Spins Casino app at the time of writing. Instead, all mobile players can access the site using their device’s browser.
Security & Safety
The site is allowed to operate through BGO Entertainment’s UK Gambling Commission license.
As you can see, the group was fined in March 2017 for breaching the rules. However, this was for behaviour that predated this casino and was attributed to BGO. Moreover, it was this action that eventually pushed the group towards their no wagering policy.
Alongside the UK, an Alderney Gambling Control Commission certificate has been acquired. This means that Power Spins, and their other brands, are certified EU casinos.
One such requirement of the UK gambling license is the need for proper identity checks to be made.
Powerspins automatically try to verify your identity once you’ve joined using the details provided. However, they may need additional documentation.
If this is the case, Power Spins verification takes place with the following steps:
- Find a valid photo identification document*
- Find a recent proof of address document*
- Either scan a copy or take a legible photo of both
- Send each document as a separate attachment via email
- Wait for your identity to be verified
*Valid Photo Identification Documents: Passport, Driver’s Licence (front and back of card – Provisional Licences will not be accepted), National ID Card (front and back of card), or a UK Citizen Card (front and back of card).
*Valid Proof of Address Documents: Utility bill, solicitors letter, bank statement, tenancy agreement or any other similar legal document sent to your registered address is acceptable (no mobile phone statements). This document must be no more than 3 months old at the time of verification. Your full name and address, as well as date of sending and sender’s stamp/headed logo must be visible.
If you need help with verification or anything else for that matter, then you can contact the Power Spins customer service team via:
- Live Chat
- Contact Form
- Telephone (UK number)
Live Chat, Email and Telephone are available from 7:30am – 1am, while post should usually reach the correct department within 7 working days.
If you’re ever stuck, you should check out Power Spins’ FAQ section for common queries and answers.
Unfortunately, there’s a bunch of countries that cannot play here.

Power Spins Review by Casino Professor
Power Spins is a very mixed bag. On the plus side, their no wager policy is really great.
However, that’s pretty much the only good thing – with no live casino, poor promotions, lack of VIP program etc impacting my Power Spins review rating quite a bit.
If you do fancy giving them a go, write your own Power Spins review below to tell me if you agree with me or not!
